Facebook is seeking a strong, experienced sales and marketing professional to help build and sell Facebook’s advertising solutions to Fortune 500 advertisers. You’ll contribute to a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth. We are looking for a sales professional with Multicultural expertise, particularly in the African American media field, who has also demonstrated previous ability to drive growth on their business through solutions-based selling, work in a dynamic environment, deal with ambiguity, and provide problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have experience and measurable success in a Multicultural sales or agency environment. They will also have strong marketing skills, and will have a solid understanding of media – and online marketing solutions in particular.

Responsibilities

  • Develop vision, strategy and account plan(s) for long-term client partnerships
  • Build strong relationships with clients, and with the media and social agencies who support them, to facilitate collaboration on marketing strategies and initiatives so that Facebook is seen as a key strategic partner, and core to their marketing plans
  • Identify, lead and execute business opportunities that drive short and long term revenue, developing objectives, performing forecast management, and exceeding quotas while driving significant revenue
  • Partner with internal sales teams on structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives – developing work plans, synthesizing market related data, leading analysis and defining the overall business approach to Facebook’s success in the Multicultural space
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to cross-functional partners and internal sales teams to rally them on behalf of clients to develop the tools and products necessary to drive their businesses
  • Prospect and penetrate large organizations to obtain branded advertising
  • Develop metrics to measure the growth and performance of the sales team, and provide reports as needed
  • Lead strategic, solution-based selling efforts by leveraging Multicultural expertise, Facebook knowledge, market trends and deep knowledge of your clients
  • Provide best-in-class customer service and partnership, including recommendations, analysis and proactive solutions
  • Serve as an internal Multicultural resource and partner to the general market sales teams

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Marketing, Brand Advertising, Media Sales and/or Online Advertising experience leading businesses or accounts in the Multicultural media space preferred
  • Extensive experience in the African American media space highly preferred
  • Knowledge of social media and media planning & measurement
  • Ability to win the support of key stakeholders and leverage solution-based selling
  • Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales or business revenue goals
  • Demonstrated success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems
  • Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to translate technical or complicated ideas into ordinary and simple terms
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Great team player
  • Previous partnerships / experience with C-Level employees at clients and agencies
  • Relationships with top marketing decision makers at traditional companies and agencies a plus
  • BA or BS degree preferred
